I am Andrew Cheesbrough. I worked as a doctor in the NHS for 40 years plus one year running outpatients in a mission hospital in the developing world. I was a partner in general practice most of that time but also spent 6 years doing internal medicine in hospital with augmented training in neurology. I retired in 2022. I have always enjoyed keeping up to date and although a generalist have maintained a special interest in neurology, musculoskeletal medicine and metabolic medicine. I have had more time for reading and contemplation since retirement and have realised I still enjoy delving into more complex cases and doing the research that helps throw light on what is going on. I would like to give you some considered time, input and experience to help you see the wood for the trees! I also have a real interest in nutrition and its relationship to metabolic illness and a lifelong passion for exercise. I have spent a lot of time thinking about exercise in the context of illness or frailty and have now trained as a PT and work mainly from Barrett's gym in Dereham. My clients are aged from 30 to 85 and most have ongoing medical issues. I provide a service that takes in the whole range of work from rehabilitation to strength, hypertrophy and mobility training. The emphasis is on progressing from basic exercises to developing skills that enhance function and confidence in day to day living. Personal training is charged at £35 per hour.

I am retired, and while I remain registered with the GMC. (2735164), I  have handed back my license to practice. This means I am not operating as a doctor on your behalf. I can however provide advice and advocacy in your behalf. More importantly I can give you a solid base or restart in your journey to regain strength and confidence even if you have significant problems. I can help you move from stagger to swagger!
